Best Places to Eat in San Diego

Everyone needs to eat throughout the day and while many people prepare meals for themselves when they are home, that is not always possible when on vacation. Therefore, everyone needs to be aware of the best places to eat while they are visiting the beautiful city of San Diego.

Here are the best places to eat in San Diego:

The Marine Room

For a unique dining experience, people will want to head over to the Marine Room, where they can eat delicious cuisine as waves are crashing against the windows. This restaurant has been open since 1941 and little has changed over the years as the world class chefs serve fresh seafood and other meals made from local and in season ingredients.

Whisknladle

Chef Ryan Johnston created the menu for Whisknladle when it opened back in 2008 and it has been such a huge success that there is no reason to change it. The restaurant prepares comfort foods using fresh and local ingredients and guests can indulge in everything from homemade pasta to delicious flatbreads. Of course, no meal is complete without a refreshing glass of wine or a homemade sangria.

Starlite

It is all about relaxing and being comfortable at Starlite and this is where everyone can meet up with friends and enjoy a drink and some food together. The menu is always rotating as to what is in season and their burgers seem to be the most popular item on the menu. Happy hour is offered every day and they even have other specials available throughout the week.

Puesto

It’s all about the tacos at Puesto and people will line up for the handmade tortillas that are filled with seafood, meat, and made from scratch salsa. With so many taco choices, it can be hard for a person to choose just one. However, the chicken verde, mushroom, and grilled market fish come highly recommended. People can pair each of their tacos with their infamous margaritas for the perfect meal.

Juniper and Ivy

Juniper and Ivy is located in the North End of Little Italy and this restaurant opened back in 2014 to elevate the then current dining scene in the area. Every one of their meals takes a small twist on one of the classics and guests always rave about their lasagna, rock cod, BBQ carrots, and yodel, which is one of their amazing desserts.

It is all about the food in San Diego and no one is disappointed with the cuisine at any of these amazing restaurants. Anyone who visits the city will want to add these places to their list of must-try restaurants, so that they can taste a little of bit of San Diego during their travels.
